The Meterseal™ gasket contains a raised bead on the i.d. of the gasket. The raised bead allows for sealing to occur prior to gasket compression. The raised bead also allows for uneven bolt torques, as the bead will compress before the gasket. The drop-in Meterseal™ gasket has a patented tab that allows for precise placement of the gasket.
